Spring 2008 Land Use and Housing Breakfast Series
Twice a year, the Furman Center pulls together leading researchers, practitioners, city officials and developers to examine an issue central to land use and housing policy in the City. Our Spring 2008 Breakfast series focuses on the importance of middle-income households to the City’s economy, and the challenges the City has faced in retaining them. We will evaluate the successes and failures of previous City and State middle-income housing programs, and ask: what can be done by the public and private sectors to preserve and create housing for New York’s middle class? What efforts are needed to preserve existing middle-income housing?
Panelists:
- Priscilla Almodovar, President and CEO, New York State Housing Finance Agency
