Upcoming Programs and Events at the Furman Center
As one of the City’s leading academic research centers, part of our mission is to promote frank and public discussions of current issues and to foster public debate. Our programs and events are held during the academic year, with the exception of NYCHANIS training sessions, which are held year-round.
Land Use and Housing Policy Breakfast Series
Each semester, the Furman Center sponsors a series of breakfast meetings that bring together government officials, the business community, leaders of non-profit organizations and academic researchers to discuss and debate critical issues in land use, real estate and urban policy.

NYCHANIS Training Sessions
The Furman Center's New York City Housing and Neighborhood Information System (NYCHANIS) provides the public with easy access to the most up-to-date information on housing and neighborhood conditions in New York City. The website includes an online, interactive database that allows users to examine conditions at geographic levels as low as the census tract, as well as make customized charts and maps of these conditions. Contact the Furman Center at furmancenter@nyu.edu for information on the next NYCHANIS training.
